This was DJ MandyMixes’ 3rd year as DJ for the Oceanside Museum of Art’s Annual Halloween Event – Art After Dark. In 2020 we went virtual and DJ Mandy provided the score/soundtrack for the online fashion show and then hosted a virtual dance party after the fashion show via Zoom. Art After Dark has been reimagined this year as a virtual experience. Gather with those on your quarantine list and celebrate Halloween at home with a visual spectacle of wearable art that is equal parts art, fashion, and fun! Enjoy an eclectic fashion show filmed at the museum, complete with commentary and behind the scenes peeks at the road to the runway. In addition to voting on favorite looks, bidding on coveted must-haves will be available.Be sure to get your tickets early before prices increase on October 26.Art After Dark has been reimagined this year as a virtual experience. PRESHOW
The pre-show begins at 6:00pm with flashbacks to prior years’ Art After Dark experiences and entertainment. Hosts will then share the road to the runway for this year’s artists and their extreme wearable art.
FASHION SHOW
Eclectic wearable art creations by local fashionistas and featured artist Melissa Meier will strut their way across the runway. Cast your vote for the People’s Choice winner and bid on your favorite ensembles and accessories. Click here to preview the artwork and bid on your favorites.
DJ HOUSE PARTY
After the fashion show, DJ Mandy will keep your house party rocking as she spins favorite tunes until 9:00pm.

HOW IT WORKS: DJ MandyMixes will be set up in her home studio and will DJ just like she normally would at any event, but via Zoom. You can dance along in your kitchen or your living room or wherever you like via ZOOM! Mandy will be on your screen motivating you and dancing along with you. We will utilize ZOOM, but you can opt to have your video off if you prefer!
COST: Donation/Tip amount of your choice. It’s free to register.
HOW TO JOIN: Once you register (BELOW) you will receive the link to join the ZOOM. Zoom link will be emailed to you on the day of the event between 12pm – 5pm.
*NOTE* – SOUND QUALITY DURING THE EVENT: For the best experience and best sound quality be sure to hook up your device or computer to the best speaker you have, but no required.
*NOTE* MUTED MICROPHONE: When you first join the dance your microphone will not be muted so you can say hello. But once we get started (7:05pmish) I will mute and lock everyone’s microphones so we don’t have feedback/sound quality issues. Please use the chat box to make requests, etc…THANKS FOR UNDERSTANDING!
WHAT IS THE DANCE PARTY? The dance party is female-focused fun where friends gather to dance the night away in a worry-free environment! Anyone 21+ is welcome. Please keep in mind this is NOT a singles/pick-up type event. Everyone who attends just wants to dance with their friends. Music from back in the day to today!

We are going back to the basics! Just a simple dance party…no dinner, no swag bar, but maybe some other surprises 😉 Also our new time will be 7pm – 10pm.

PLACE: The Lakehouse Hotel/St. Mark Golf Club, 1750 San Pablo Dr, San Marcos, CA 92078. NEW ROOM! We will be in the Fairway Room. MUCH bigger than 2019 and our own outside patio to cool off!
THEME/ATTIRE: DRESSY CASUAL PINK! Not a fan of pink? Wear black, white or silver!
FOOD: Lite Bites & Dessert will be provided.
BEVERAGE: There will be a fully stocked bar for you to purchase soda, beer, wine & cocktails. (cash or credit)

It was a hoppin’ good time! I was very busy running the music for the floor show so wasn’t able to take too many photos, but I did capture some Instagram stories and below are some screenshots of all the fun!
The graduate received her Master’s Degree from Point Loma Nazarene University! We had to play a little “Gold Digger” to go along with her cap!
